Podules : Jan Niedojadlo

'Portal'

The sculpture explores a personal inner and outer growth - viewed from my prayer and meditation practice. I am intrigued by this coming and going of inner light. I am interested in the spiritual significance of light and dark as well as its external counterpart. I am fascinated by the two transitional phases of the day - dawn and dusk. Where there is this rapid and exciting change of colour and form but also has this deep and restful stillness. Portal is a view of that fluctuation of all things - the ebb and flow of life - a view through to ones inner workings.
